[OSHW]Can I use a self designed ASIC in my OSHW design?

If I document all schematics and HDL in an ASIC, and use it in a design, can I still call that design OSHW? Of course, all other parts of the design are available in source form.

Seems OSHW definition doesn't like to be mentioned together with "proprietary" parts. What if the ASIC's functionality can be implemented by discrete parts but there won't be a drop in replacement?

It would be more open than the "black boxes" that most chips are.
