Hello all. I recently purchased an Ebay common item (too many variants of the same product) which is pictured below (from the Ebay posting) and has a silk screen part number HW-1015. I have however seen many other websites/product listings of the same product in order to use the serial commands shown in the posting. I am trying to interface with it using the "serial" interface, with no luck. Does anyone have any tips/experience with what type / level of serial interface to use? The MCU is reported to be stm8s003k3, but I haven't verified it.
What kind of USB/serial interface do you recommend I use?

The module does work, sort of. Frequency specs are good for approximate use only.
