Clone Open-source digital oscilloscope "ScopeFun"

Hola. I made a USB 3.0 + Artix-7 + DDR3 Core board. And now I want to add a daughter board with high speed ADC. Any recommendation for ADCs? How about HMCAD1511 which costs around 10$?
BTW, if I use the firmware/software developed by ScopeFun designer, shall I also open source my hardware design source file? Thanks

Here is a web-based oscilloscope DIY using beaglebone black and Spartan-6 FPGA. It's based on our master thesis 5 years ago. Finally, we are allowed to distribute it.

The DSO part features 8 bits, 250 MS/s, 100 MHz bandwidth, dual channels, external trigger, no troublesome software installation (only web browser needed), software control panel and WiFi-range connectivity.

If you want to distribute the software in any way you should make it open source.   If this is a personal one off project it doesn't matter.    It  might be worth seeing of the ScopeFun developers are interested in supporting other boards.   There are advantages and disadvantages to haveing one software base support multiple hardware solutions.


In any event it would be interesting to see your documentation and code.
