Vector Mapping GPS, MP3 Player, & More (dsPic)
« on: May 04, 2018, 07:26:33 am »
Hi :)
Here’s the software release for 20 months of MP3 Player, Vector Mapping GPS, Talking Astronomy Clock, Tetrabrick Game, and Dynamic Calendar.
GUI has fluid animated transitions from one screen to another, and file browser lists titles from ID3 tags (for MP3) or map title descriptions.

The MP3 Player can display JPEG cover art in greyscale by cycling through four bitplanes.
As far as I’m aware, this is still the world’s only proper vector mapping GPS done from scratch by a lone hobbyist.

The demo programs are not supposed to be understood by others, they break any and all rules for space,
but the underlying 2d graphics library for KS0108 GLCD is intended to be recyclable.

PS. This is a software distribution. No PCB CAD yet, but a prototype is on it’s way to Mexico right now to
a fellow who appears to be proficient with Altium. I’ve also built two of these under camera on my YT channel,
and those two units are functional, so YT instruction is verified. I’d be happy for anyone to also give the PCB CAD a go.

Cheers, Brek.
