In this part 2 of the TS-50 I troubleshoot the back light issue, determine the root cause and why it happed. Then  repair the damage and see if the back light works.

I am really looking forward to seeing your technique for repairing pads and traces you mentioned in the first TS-50 video.

I have never actually done that and in the past I have given up on repairs when the traces were messed up on a board.

I am really looking forward showing everyone how to do it.  Hope to be able to do it in the next two weeks, perhaps sooner.  At the mercy of my suppliers and waiting for all the parts to arrive.

I really hate working on something that has been butchered and have little wires running everywhere just because a trace is missing. It's just wrong lol.  The way I repair them you can hardly tell the traces  were ever been removed. But, it takes a lot of time and working with very small pieces of copper foil.

Thanks Shock. Will be starting on it as soon as I finish cleaning the benches here. I have stuff torn down everywhere.

On another note.....
I know my post and videos carry little weight here. Specially since I am no where being an EE but do design circuits to repair old obsolete stuff. Perhaps the circuit board repair video will fall in a category and be more useful for general purpose electronic repair.

I do not do "Technical" videos and lean towards those that want to learn and just getting started into electronics and RF related hobby.

Really appreciate those here that has supported me  put up with my learning curve of doing videos with my redneck southern ways. Yes I am still a noob and have a lot to learn.

Thanks

Keep going, you're doing fine.
