Thank you for that info will do. Didnt spot my name on the original but I did only have a fleeting look. Cheers. :-+

Hi

Added you to the Repair List (List B) because you have a scope Playlist.  Since you have so many videos I suggest you try and get them into 8 Playlists.  Because when someone goes to your Playlist, they can see 8 of them.  Any more then they have to scroll.  If not 8, then try 12, etc.  But try real hard for 8.

The reason you were not on the list is because you have so many videos, I figured someone could search YT easier.  It is really hard for someone to go through your videos when they are in one list.

If you have trouble, maybe you could ask for help here.

FYI I have rejected some people because they put all their videos in one playlist and someone once put one video in each playlist.

FYI, Micah Elizabeth Scott has decided to separate the live streams from the "finished" videos.

Hey, my channel seems to have been removed:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCezJOfu7OtqGzd5xrP3q6WA

To be honest I don't understand the new requirements. "Need to have a playlist", is that just any playlist or does it need to be specific categories of playlists?

Hi

First major change I made was to delete member names because of complaints.  The list was getting too big, the bigger it got, the fewer the views.   It was over 350 and I decided to get it to two - 100 lists.  So I had to delete about half.  Playlist was just one method I used.   I cannot remember why I deleted you but if you have not made any changes, it might be because you put too many videos in one playlist.  This was one method that I used to delete.

I added you back in but you might want to re-organize your playlists.  You have too many in this one: "Recent Videos (That are not Live Streams)".  One video is dated Jan 2017.  I do not think 16 months is recent.

My favorite method is when someone uses 8 playlists because that is how many someone sees without scrolling.

Since you seem serious you might want to consider some bookkeeping.  Study the way Dave names his videos and watermarks them.  I am always amazed how bad people organize and name their videos.  Your videos might end up on other Playlists.  You should be able to tell it is your video just by the name.  Then you should  be able to tell by looking at your video (watermark).

Not sure what you're testing, but there's no table formatting there.  The columns will never line up.

Test removed.  My comments are irrelevant now.

I have rearranged my channel.
Can someone look it over and see if I qualify for the list?

This smells as Dave says.

Years ago I was recording many electronics, car, boiler, broadcast engineering, and hackerspace incubation.

Every time I look into Youtube, it gets more complicated. Plus i want my stuff in public domain, but in USA you are defaulted to copyright. we lost our freedom of speech in October 2003

This thread is a highly useful place to discuss found Youtube (and similar) resources and get them onto the list kindly maintained by ez24 and brumby. Please do not try to turn it into a thread discussing your misunderstanding(s) of copyright law. If you really want to do the latter, start your own thread, please do not pollute this one.

Many episodes about the history of electricity:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYrX5FiWjiPd0JytMh6NX1Q/videos

Nice find - she will be included on the list in the next upgrade.  I plan to upgrade the lists around the 1st of the month from now on.  New changes will be indicated by a "X" in Col A in Brumby's spreadsheet that is at the end of List A  (right now the x's are meaningless).

Thank you

cheers

At some point my channel appeared on the list (see message #105 in this thread), but now I can't find it... any particular reason?

Thanks

Throwing my hat in.
I just started, very rough, only a smartphone, slowly learning presentation and editing.
If I enjoy it I plan on making useful videos , project logs, and tutorials, for now its bad lighting/audio and mumbled waffling... but I think I have something to share and want to give back.

Some mailbag and electronics stuff, I might add non electronics but unlikely.

Have you considered using gist for this to allow contribs and revision history?

The only reason I can think of is you are not looking hard enough - you are on List A
If you cannot find it, let me know.

There should be a link that redirects here in the Beginner section as well.

I think it would be more useful there but I have no control over this.  Maybe if  there is enough demand it will happen.
I always think the lists are more useful for beginners because the experts already have their favorites.

Maybe Brumby and Cliff will comment on this.

thanks

What about pasting a single line every now and then in sticky "Electronics primers, course material and books" :

^ ^ ^  Sounds like something simple and non-intrusive.  Well worth doing until a better idea comes along - if one ever does.

That works.. but think about how fast it's going to scroll out of view and for whatever reason, how people are lazy enough they don't go much past the 2nd or 3rd page..

Also, moderators may tire of seeing "Electronics and tech related videos" as a thread title too often (and more work for you too).

I agree.  I will gather facts and ask Simon to make it a sticky on the beginner page.  My List C came from this Sticky on the Beginners Page

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/beginners/electronics-primers-course-material-and-books/msg28589/#msg28589

Since List C is based on this, I asked Chasm if they would insert a link to List C and I never heard back from Chasm

I totally agree that the lists would be more helpful if on the Beginners Page.
