Artifact Electronics
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK5y1jaqmysO9WPszfr3BMQ/videos (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK5y1jaqmysO9WPszfr3BMQ/videos)
They are already in the list. Did you miss them because you only saw the M-Z list? I have wondered if people will miss part of the list because it is split.
Wondering why the numbers in the first columns in wk2 when there are none in wk1?Simple. wk1 and wk2 do different things - and they do them on all the data
Rookie mistake.:-DD The spreadsheet is so complex no rookie could have made it.
..I guess Cliff has something to do with this. :-+And my wife blames me for bad weather too :-DD Dave is to blame.. he's actually going on a well deserved long holiday?
Now about the weather... it has been too warm
I'm guessing this is where we add our channel to the list (if this is the wrong place, please move to the appropriate location)...
Wow, I didn’t know this list existed.
I am surprised that you were on the list and did not know it. Should I notify all members who are on the list and let them know that their YT channel is listed?
...anyone that has a “public youtube” channel wouldn’t complain about being on a list that helps promote the channel.BTW, nice channel! and good cross section of topics, duly subscribed.
...anyone that has a “public youtube” channel wouldn’t complain about being on a list that helps promote the channel.BTW, nice channel! and good cross section of topics, duly subscribed.
One question though, I've seen only a couple of cases (such as yours) where the subscription count is masked out. If you already have almost a quarter million views, what's the purpose of not showing it? (There are many that subscribe to channels weighted largely on crowd popularity..)
One question though, I've seen only a couple of cases (such as yours) where the subscription count is masked out.
I have wondered about this also.
...I don’t think 1,000 is that popular.IMHO on focused subject matter, anything >500 should indicate people find enough benefit to subscribe, or perhaps you have a large family ;)
LOL, nope. I don’t even think anyone from my family subscribed, and only a handful of friends....I don’t think 1,000 is that popular.IMHO on focused subject matter, anything >500 should indicate people find enough benefit to subscribe, or perhaps you have a large family ;)
...Why dont you show your sub count? That's a little farther up in post #59 I think.
Kev31779 has 7k subs. He does real-time repairs of audio amplifiers. This looks like a cross between 12voltvids, Louis Rossmann and some the CB or radio channels. Duly subscribed, Thanks!
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt0s3nnCGpl0oe268kN_v7Q (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt0s3nnCGpl0oe268kN_v7Q)
Wow, I didn’t know this list existed. Thanks Cliff Matthews and Brumby for making this list, and Ez24 who seems to be maintaining the forum copy of the list.
All my content is good accurate information however my monotone voice makes me sound a little boring and dim (im not tho!!) I myself find it hard to explain what i know and also relax like most good you-tubers do.

A couple of months ago I found this channel:Good name, nice find, duly subscribed - Thanks! (Roger, 3201 subscribers with 59 vids, 3-years on YT, knows his stuff, lab instruments and repairs)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy8KVhry-wrEcHKcSb4BiMg (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy8KVhry-wrEcHKcSb4BiMg)
I think this channel should be on the list and also have a guest video on Daves channel :-+
Alright, looking through a few more channels I subscribe to, this guy's good xraytonyb and has 4,386 subs (mostly repairs and test equ.)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChTN8got77QeKPFRmTJ0teg/videos (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChTN8got77QeKPFRmTJ0teg/videos)
Maybe you're right. I wish this channels were little bit more focused on EE.. :) :-DMM Specially joernone - he does a lot of good restoration series :-+No problem! Maybe xraytonyb never got submitted, was because I used to view channels over a 4 Mb/sec DSL, now it's a 30 Meg. Going to any channel I place "/videos" on the end of the URL (regardless of weather the user allows viewing or not..) and scroll down to see all the video thumbnails. If I saw lots of "money-shots" of open chassis' with tubes or more than one transformer, etc.. I would shove this back to back burner.Alright, looking through a few more channels I subscribe to, this guy's good xraytonyb and has 4,386 subs (mostly repairs and test equ.)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChTN8got77QeKPFRmTJ0teg/videos (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChTN8got77QeKPFRmTJ0teg/videos)
Nice channel! Subscribed too! Thanks!
It would be great if you added my channel to the list.Very, nice. Where have you been hiding? :-+ (14k subs, short format, 2.3 million views) Feel at home now in the worlds best electronic forum.

My name is Anthony and I'm an Electromechanical Engineer. My channel is about Rapid Prototyping, Engineering Projects, Science Experiments, Microcontrollers, Manufacturing and other random topics.
Is it inappropriate to plug my own channel and ask if you could add my channel ? https://www.youtube.com/user/pa4tim (https://www.youtube.com/user/pa4tim)You said the right word - voltnut. OK, I subscribed :) Let's see if I get enough time over the holidays to view some...
.......I also have a lot of voltnut stuff.
Is it inappropriate to plug my own channel and ask if you could add my channel ? https://www.youtube.com/user/pa4tim (https://www.youtube.com/user/pa4tim)Nope, plug your own channel. Change your eevblog signature while your at it also to plug.
My work (and hobby) is repairing measurement and calibration gear. But also some automotive and industrial electronics. Mostly the older not longer supported (but often expensive) gear without any documentation.
I'm surprised a show as big as AvE was missed..We had AvE on at one point, but I think Dave and a general consensus narrowed this down and away from machinist videos and even away from general maker/3D printer stuff. I think it would be fair to say there's enough in just electronics to keep this growing list on focus. I'm not saying 3D-p does not apply, we do have some listed, but few ever coach on details as applied to electronics (eg: steppers, drivers, and maintenance).
Maybe we should have separate lists for videos that aren't really DIY electronics, but are likely to be of interest to many electronics hobbyists? You're right, that's what EZ24 (Roger) has quietly been trying to get us to do. See some of his efforts:

On some of the items just listed, I'll say this: In the last 20-years there has been enough techno-trash filling our landfills (and personal garages..) that there's a whole bunch of channels that look like electronics channels at fist glance, but are not. Channels with tons of tear downs (which, if I'm not mistaken were practically coined by Dave), are a dime a dozen now, but most are without demonstrable application of theory. The thing we need to ask is, "what can be learned and replicated here?"
I'll reserve comment on the refrigeration and power invertor guys (others may give some opinion), but Simone by her own admission "as a non-engineer, shitty robot expert", looks as though it's a popularity channel with average video lengths between 5-7 minutes with plenty of cute face shots. Just my opinion, but Rinoa Super-Genius (a bit weird) rambles on too much dragging stuff through the dirt and mud around her backyard and collecting junk and veering off to other topics. I was subscribed to the channel for a year or so, until I saw enough monotonic rambling over junk to nip that one too.
What do you think about deleting YTers that do not have a Playlist? There are a few of them.

Is not having a playlist grounds for removal?
My concern would be some good material is excluded based on a metric that has no direct relationship with the quality of the content.... or is there some correlation of which I am not aware?
I don’t want to add to the time this already takes to manage playlists also.
Thanks,
Scott
The only thing Playlists do is help the viewers, unfortunately it takes time for the YTer. Sometimes I feel that if the poster does not give a shit about their viewer, I do not give a shit about them or their video. Sometimes I do not think (a problem of ageing). :-DD
Someday I’ll sort them out into playlists, but it doesn’t mean the creator doesn’t care if they don’t have them. This illustrates my point.
Thanks! No visits southward yet :( the extra coin for that will have wait more.Oops! Here's my 1000th post in two years on the forum and I must confess I've let a very superb channel (100+ videos) slip through the cracks:
Congratulations on 1,000 posts - I will add the links in the next upload
Did you get to the Caribbean this year?
If it's ok, the description of my channel (Brian Lough) is misc, but something like Arduino would probably be closer to what it was.
I think I had some live streams recording of a making a guitar pedal when I first added the channel here, I've since tidied it up to reflect my usual content
Thanks
Is this what you were after...? (sample only)
Looks good ! Did you sort the main list? I will not do anything except enter data and copy data.
Thanks
That is the channel name (Electronics repair School)I suggest adding Electronics repair school, motherboard level laptop repairs.Do you know any? When I go through the list I will keep this in mind and list any I find.
Thanks for your suggestion

Congratulations :-+ :-+ :-+ You are the first one to ask me to change the info. It has been kinda discouraging that no one has ask me before. So you made my day :-+
Do you want me to change General Content to Arduino? If so what do you want under Addtional Info ?
I get Additional Info from YT "About" page. Yours is empty.
I will make the changes later - the spreadsheet is currently under work by Brumby
Thanks
How about Robrenz on the forum, pretty good series of machining videos with some really good precision probes as well.

Roger EEVblog user "baltersice" (Marco Reps) channel now seems to be deleted from our YouTubers list.

FWIW, his channel now ranks quite high at 35,059 subscribers.
I wonder if some of you might be interested in my YouTube channel?
I do mainly repairs on old audio gear and dabble in the odd vintage test equipment restoration too.
It might be a bit amateurish compared with many, but some might find it entertaining.

Thank you for that info will do. Didnt spot my name on the original but I did only have a fleeting look. Cheers. :-+
Hey, my channel seems to have been removed:
To be honest I don't understand the new requirements. "Need to have a playlist", is that just any playlist or does it need to be specific categories of playlists?
I have rearranged my channel.
Can someone look it over and see if I qualify for the list?

This smells as Dave says.
Years ago I was recording many electronics, car, boiler, broadcast engineering, and hackerspace incubation.
Every time I look into Youtube, it gets more complicated. Plus i want my stuff in public domain, but in USA you are defaulted to copyright. we lost our freedom of speech in October 2003
Many episodes about the history of electricity:

Hi,
At some point my channel appeared on the list (see message #105 in this thread), but now I can't find it... any particular reason?
Thanks
Have you considered using gist for this to allow contribs and revision history?
There should be a link that redirects here in the Beginner section as well.
That works.. but think about how fast it's going to scroll out of view and for whatever reason, how people are lazy enough they don't go much past the 2nd or 3rd page..
Also, moderators may tire of seeing "Electronics and tech related videos" as a thread title too often (and more work for you too).

I only recently found out about Sarah Petkus, but I find her machine vision project quite interesting:

I haven't noticed her using any bad words. If she did, it was once in a while that is easy to miss. Definitely not like AvE or Big Clive where you can't miss the use of harsh vocabulary. (Those sorts of videos, if they contain electronics related content, should stay but it would be good to include language warnings.)I only recently found out about Sarah Petkus, but I find her machine vision project quite interesting:

Interesting but too R rated to be listed
It looks like the website https://www.wisewarthog.com/ (https://www.wisewarthog.com/) isn't working anymore :(. Did anybody maybe saved the links from that website? It had some really great resources. I am specifically looking for the link to a website that had examples of job interview questions for analog engineers. Please let me know. Thanks :)It seem's it went the way of the Dodo bird.. The last active snapshot was this:

You can change ownership of posts on many forum platforms. But another method is just start a new thread, sticky it. Point the old one to the new one unsticky it and lock it.That was the way this current thread came into being - when it became necessary to reserve the first few posts to allow for the ever growing mountain of information to be broken up in order to fit within the character limit for a post (which had already been increased by Dave to accommodate the first thread).
Just started a brand new channelDon't worry about edits, like Defpom and BigClive you seem absolutely at home in front of a camera. :-+
Thank you! I've just uploaded the second installment. As a result, I've now doubled my subscriber list to a whopping 8 people! :-DDJust started a brand new channelDon't worry about edits, like Defpom and BigClive you seem absolutely at home in front of a camera. :-+
I am a radio amateur who probably has the best channel for electronics. I show a lot of what I repair on the channel, along the way talking about how to solder, how to choose a good solder, and give advice for a beginner radio amateur.
But the repair of equipment is not very interesting to me, I like to develop electronics more. I really like to design the circuit of the device myself, after tracing the printed circuit board, write a program for the microcontroller, assemble the layout, run it, and then debug it for a long time. This is a very exciting and interesting process for me.
Almost all electronics tools I buy in China. I also take many components there. I show them on the channel, even if they are not of high quality, I hope this helps.
