Plot: An old but faithful gas safety valve is doing its job very well. So well that it cuts off the gas to a burner even with a steady flame. Suspicion falls on the thermocouple that senses the flame presence and also powers the valve electromagnet.  BSFEEChannel is called upon to investigate and makes a startling discovery which solves the puzzle only at the very end of this electrifying drama.
