3D printer electronics
« on: April 18, 2014, 01:02:09 pm »
Hey @all,

I (electrical engineering student) am currently working on a mainboard design for a 3D printer that im planning to build with a friend of mine (he's a mechanical engineering student). My goal is at the moment to finalize the schematic of the main board. It includes drivers for the heaters, stepper motors and fans and has inputs for thermistors and end stops. It's pretty similar to the RUMBA except that I'm planning to use a XMEGA micro und some other mods (and that I design it myself, of course :-) )
I just published it on Github: https://github.com/mbb01x/SallySprinter (Schematic PDF) and I'd appreciate any hints or improvements from you guys. :)
I'm also going to post the board layout as soon as I got sth to show.

Thanks,
Phil
