Chinese PCB manuf. vs TFBGA216 - possible or not?
« on: July 04, 2015, 10:26:18 pm »
Hello,
I've just came across interesting problem... Is there any chinese PCB prototyping service, which can deal TFBGA216? The device manual suggests this PCB pattern (see attachment please).

Most China PCB houses can't do smaller than 12mil (0.3mm) holes / 24mil (0.61mm) outer dia. But this seems useless for this kind of a BGA beast. With the proposed dimensions, it seems also there is only 5mil clearance between pad and via.

Can the pcb pattern be somehow altered to fit the chinese manufacturers? What do you suggest? Do you have any experience with these packages and china pcb houses?
Thanx,
Y

You need 10mil dirll/18mil overall to do 0.8mm bga.
I can point you to a korean proto fab where you can get a few made for about $200. Or you can order just 3 at oshpark.

OSH park allows 10/18 (0.254/0.46) vias. That should do it. Thanks for the tip. The price isn't the lowest, but at least we have small vias to do the job.
