Custom NFC antenna design
« on: March 20, 2018, 07:00:04 pm »
Hello everyone,

I am trying to design a custom PCB antenna for the NT3H2111 eeprom/i2c chip. (https://www.mouser.com/ds/2/302/NT3H2111_2211-1127378.pdf).

I have read the NXPs appnote (https://nxp.box.com/s/pog3vbw5jasgx3p84q4s) however it just confused me even more. Has anyone used there excel calculator and is willing to help? It seems that most appnotes for custom antenna design require a background wireless knowledge I dont posses so I would appreciate any link to further help out!

And along with that you'll need the access to the VNA

There is a VNA at my University. I presume thats that the only good enough way to make the measurements?

Ok that was much simpler than expected. Hooked up a coil on the VNA and coupled it with the pcb. Then added/removed capacitance as necessary
