Hey guys! I'm new to this forum and somewhat new to electronics but have a question about flyback converter design. My goal is to run 60-100 V off of a 9V battery for about 15ish minutes at a time (running a small scale gel electrophoresis). After researching some potential solutions it looked like a flyback converter could work, would this be possible? If so, it seems that these are the components I would need:
Input capacitor
Primary switch (MOSFET)
Coupled inductor - transformer
Output rectifier
Output capacitor
So my main question is, how do I determine the size/specs of these components that will allow for the 9V to 100V conversion? I assume there are a set of equations but am confused as to where to start. Thank you so much for taking the time to read through this and potentially help a newb.
