LED grow light
« on: February 18, 2013, 02:00:37 am »
Hello all,

I recently finished building high-power LED light for my small grow room. The light outputs more than 25000 lumens, costs less than $300 in parts and pretty easy to build.

Full write-up here -> https://www.circuitsathome.com/diy-2/high-power-led-grow-light-a-build-log

Enjoy,

I don't have pictures, sorry. When I blow a mounted LED I buy ( an unmounted ) replacement from say Digikey and then look at both under a microscope. The difference is usually number of bond wires, genuine having more, like 4 instead of 3. Another sign is forward voltage, real ones have larger Vf, like 3.6V vs 3.2.
