Help identifying 5 & 7 pin connectors
« on: April 16, 2014, 05:10:37 am »
Does anyone know off the top of their head what brand / series these connectors are?

They mount from the front (rear nut) and have a male threaded bush that the mating plug (or dust cap) screws onto.

I can't see any markings or clearly get to the back of them, except to see that they have solder cup terminals.

They look like DIN connectors close to 240 degrees (60 degrees between pins) but nope. The other one is 72 degrees apart strange for DINs

What are they attached to?

Definitely not DIN sockets.  They are part of some custom equipment that a client needs new cables for.

Just looked up the Amphenol Eco-mate.  Not it, but thanks for the suggestion.

No other pictures sorry.

Might have to try and track down who made the item and see if they will tell us what they are.

Would have helped if you mentioned it was a waterproof system or even aviation.

Do these match?

If they do, they are IP68 5 pins/7pins waterproof dustproof connectors

The connectors are not on a piece of mission critical gear.  I have no idea why they chose them originally.

Part of the issue is that I have only seen the plug in a not very close-up photo.

The second picture looks like a match for the socket.  I'll go from there.  Thank you.  :-)
