ID this device please: ACUMOS 7005-105 48pin DIP

Apologies if i'm posting in the wrong place. In a mountain of parts consigned for landfill (but too good not to just throw out for the inveterate hoarder) i've discovered a few of these. My attempts at Google searches have revealed component sales businesses offering such a code but not in a DIP package and less than nothing else. I am thinking it could be an ASIC of the era... maybe not. I've no idea what they were for, did or what they could do now or who Acumos is/was or became.

Someone may recall Acumos and this device. All i know is that it could be a spare to video equipment as this is all i've been given. In the very least a mystery solved would be great let alone ever finding a home for them or making them my next retro project...

I knew I had heard of them.  Still not sure what chip that is, however.  I will keep digging.
