Using Samsung SmartTV for distributed stream around build.

I want to be able to place a number ( > 20 ) Samsung Smart TVs ( or other brand possibly ) around a building to display the same video source.  I'd like to connect them via either wifi or wired ethernet.     It just seems to me that theres no reason why i shoudl have to use an external box such as a raspberry PI, or similar.. theres enough brains in those TV's that in theory i shoudl just be able to find the right app to listen to a suitable multicast IP Source.

Any ideas>
