someone updated in the fartbook, amazingly... caught my attention...

3d printer is around the corner, but this 900 motors display is not a hobby friendly yet. amazing yes! but even we can make it to sci-fi like reality (with 1080x968 dpi), not up to the point that i need to warsheep it. just another human wonderful creation (no pun/preach intended :P) ;)

That is awesome. Surely there must be a more cost-effective way to make one though. I'd love to make one, but $20,000 + is way over any budget I could justify.

easier way is the track the eyes and do depth mapping, you project it onto the bottom of the flat side so that when you touch it you dont create shadows and as far as your brain is concerned its 3D
