Modding a laminator for PCB
« on: May 21, 2016, 04:03:32 pm »
I've been doing PCB for some time now using the toner transfer method and a clothes iron. I've just been given a Fellowes laminator (cheap supermarket type). Takes the board well and doesn't appear to struggle. The result is varied but usually good transfer in some place not others. I've looked into altering the motor speed but to be honest I don't understand how this is done. I've thought of a possible alternative solution.........would it be possible to add a switch to the motor to stop it whilst the heating is still on? Thinking of letting the board go in for a second, switching off the motor for maybe 10 seconds, and so on.........????

Thanks Steve! Looks a bit daunting but I'll give it a good read!
