MOSFET replacement
« on: January 22, 2018, 02:46:37 pm »
What would you suggest as replacement for a P channel mosfet A1SHB/SI2301 in SOT23?
Needs to be able to handle more power (maybe 2A) and maintain same packing and pin arrangement...
I am very confused with most of what i find like SK2301AA or NTR1P02T1G or SI2301CDS-T1-GE3 and what is most confusing is a myriad of parts with 2301 in their code which hint of this being the same part but with as low as 1A and as high as 4,5A Id

As I gathered, the SI2301 is a part from MCC: http://www.mccsemi.com/

The Si2301DS is a part from Vishay. Their characteristics are close enough. But it's marked as obsolete. The SI2301CDS is still active at Vishay and has similar, albeit higher current handling than the SI2301  and should fit your design's needs.

I'm not sure similar part numbering among different vendors are supposed to get you equivalent transistors. You should always check characteristics before settling on any "equivalent" part.
