:-+ +1 for new uRuler. I'll grab at least 5 as I gave away 3 from the last batch to friends.

Maybe some ideas could be incorporated in Dave's ruler. I like the part on the right.

Me too, I always get N-MOS, P-MOS, NPN and PNP contacts mixed up. Is there a nice menomic for where the drain, source, gate / base, emitter, collector are and where the arrow points. I know of NPN -> "never points in" but nothing that covers it all.

Enter the Gate, to find the Source to the Drain.

This is the new uRuler I gave away at the Electronex show:

So when is it coming Dave?

It seems to be a common misconception (which that ruler features) that you can look at the inside of a through-hole LED and identify the cathode as the side that has the big part of the metal leadframe that the LED die is sitting on. Although that is usually the case, it is not always the case - I've seen some batches of LEDs, rarely, where it isn't.

I'd pay double for a non-branded one.

That has already been answered:

Reason why not is because it has to fit inside a standard envelop.

Since I never got the first version you should do a new&old package  >:D

I never got the first version either. A rerun would be cool, as well as the new one. I'd take both.

Is a uRuler batch still in the works?

Maybe a good first assignment whenever you bring your new assistant on board.

Waiting for another uRuler gold+black (not green) with EE calculator and  built-in  energy harvesting device like this  :o

Quote
Midé's Volture Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvesters convert mechanical vibrational energy into alternating electrical energy (AC). This AC is then electronically converted to DC, which can be used to drive a multitude of wireless applications or recharge a battery.

Forgive me if I missed it but I was trying to find somewhere to buy some of these.  I'm in the USA.

On another note, love your youtube channel. I watch it all the time.  You know your stuff and you make it interesting. Keep up the great work.

What about uruler 3.0?

You could optimize space (smaller logos, for example) and add template symbols ;)

Here's a bunch of examples...

How about making the gerbers available like you did for the last version.
