References for product design methodology
« on: January 20, 2019, 04:25:40 am »
I am looking for a guideline / methodology of designing products.
It's more of a guideline/flow i am searching for, a checklist of sorts.
Where you define the project, see if it's viable financially with ROI.
I can think of a list, but i was wondering if there was an industry flow that could be followed or added upon.

I'm looking to make a product specification that includes :
- General description of the product
- Financial ROI breakdown
- UI / UX aspect
- Software specification (how to break the software up in chuncks)
- Hardware electronics
- Mechanical hardware

Are there books / references / examples that can help me make my own standard project development flow, i'd love to hear it!

Big Clive has made a nice video on youtube of how he etches home built circuits.
All his other video's are worth watching too, so just start with the oldest untill you've seen them all.

I know altium myself, i build my own pcb's and know how to put a project together.
It's the development phase of a new project, how to manage it, that i am asking about.
