Hi,
this was bugging me for a while. Where to get the nice square-round female single pin connectors, the same that are used on HP or Tektronix logic probes or some probe adapters? I would like to DIY some logic analyser lead sets or probe adapters. Tektronix ones cost an arm and a leg, even on eBay, and these things are pretty much just these female pin connectors with 100-150 Ohm resistors and normal 0.1" two row pin header connector on the other end.
The common solution is to use the standard Dupont pin headers (Picture 1), but these are IMHO rather crappy.
Another option that came to my mind is removing the metal part somehow from the precision turned sockets (Picture 2) and putting these in a heat shrink tube. But do Keysight or Tek resort to this kind of handcraft?
I've checked Farnell and Digikey, googled for images but nothing comes up. Is there an off the shelf part - precision wire to female pin header connector?
