TCS3472 Color sensor sensitivity

I have a project which should distinguish between two colors which could be quite close to each other. Therefore two comparable colors will not be for example Green and Black which are quite different. Two comparable colors could be for example blue and just a little bit darker than the first one. What sensor do you suggest? 

I have selected the TCS3472 but I am not quite sure if it could handle this sensitivity.
