Tegra K1 base design
« on: December 14, 2017, 01:31:54 am »
Hi all,

Has anyone done any work on a basic Tegra K1 board (bare minimum processor with LPDDR3, power management, boot, JTAG)?  I've had a look at the nVidia reference design, but I was interested in looking at a more minimal implementation if one was around.

Thanks!

K1 seems to be the only processor in the Tegra range that is readily available for individual purchase.  X1 and X2 are next to impossible to get a hold of for the time being.

It's gonna cost a lot to roll out a custom core module based on Tegra. Why not just buy TX1/TX2 modules? At ~$200, they are not too expensive for industrial or automotive applications.
If you are making consumer tablets, then you won't be able to compete Chinese manufacturers or Samsung/Apple.

I wish they were only $200, more like US$499 which is more like A$650 https://www.arrow.com/en/products/900-83310-0001-000/nvidia

This won't work for myself but the OP may have a way of doing this  :)

Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.

Cryptocurrency lesson 0: Altcoins and Bitcoin are not the same thing.
