Hi There,

As we are growing, we are in the need to streamline our operation. We are still quite a small company, but handle lots of PCBs and need to keep track of all the Boms, orders and so forth. and the excel sheets no longer is sufficient to handle all this.

Solutions like SAP Business One are still quite expensive (30-50kUSD implementation cost) and difficult to really choose over the 1'000s of solutions that exists.

We manufacture machines that involved many pcbs, some cnc and other parts.

What do you guys use / recommend as an ERP for small companies like us?

We basically need
- Inventory/warehouse management with barcode system and bins for all the electronic components.
- Hierarchical BOM management able to generate PO
- Follow up of orders
- Follow up of production

Cheers

Check out this similar thread, might have some info for you

There is Inventree which is open source which might be worth spending some time playing with, considering its free.

Also since its actively in development you might be able to flick the developers some money to add any extra features you might need.
Much better use of the money than buying yearly license to use custom software

We currently use Stockit here, it has most of the features you are looking for (Orders/Jobs side is basic). It works, is cheap, but isn't particularly user-friendly.

At a previous place we used Sage 50 Manufacturing, I quite liked it and I think it ticks all of your boxes. It seems to have been replaced by cim50 which looks pretty similar as far as I can tell.
