Verical - is it a reliable component source?
« on: January 21, 2018, 06:27:32 pm »
It is about https://www.verical.com. The website states "An Arrow Company", so I dared to make a test buy from them. I ordered some ST SPBT3.0DP2 bluetooth modules, as these are currently difficulty to source. What I received was mostly scrap. The good thing about them is that they made a full refund after my complaint.

I am a bit concerned now. On the one hand they have good prices, on the other hand I don't want to risk buying bad parts, or even fakes. Anyone having some experience with them?

They are legit, but I believe they are supposed to sell leftover parts from production runs. Like if manufacturer minimum order is 5000 pcs to get a certain price break, but project requires 3k, those extra 2k parts go on vertical.

What's do you mean by scrap? Like desoldered? That should not happen.
