Xbee part numbers overview
« on: September 10, 2013, 10:49:29 am »
Hi all,

I'm currently working on a project which involves XBee modules for wireless data transmission and was astonished by the staggering amount of versions of the modules.

Even though quite a lot of descent info can be found about the different lines of modules, it's much harder to find the correct one when ordering them on-line. Even major on-line sellers seem to get parts and descriptions mixed up.

As a reference for future projects and others running into the same situation I made a sheet covering most types and all their possible antenna configurations, with their corresponding part number. Might come in handy some time.

Bookmarked!  I found the array of types somewhat confusing at first.

Had the same feeling. Still think it's really a bit of a weird ecosystem somehow.
Suppose there are reasons, but I can't understand why it isn't easier to find some kind of sheet like mine on the Digi site...

Not exactly like yours, but this is from Digi's site.

Great! Somehow I missed that one. I've added a link to that sheet as well.
