Anyone know something about this display?
« on: February 28, 2018, 09:59:19 am »
This is some old "picture frame" and it looks like the display is functioning so since i have few of those, i would like to use only the display in some other project. However, i don't know anything about this display nor did i ever reverse engineer it.

So, just in case, if you have any tips how should i try to investigate this.. or if anyone know how to find some tech docs about this display i would be grateful

thnx

Google those codes on the sticker. Manufacturer seems to be Tianma.

I was wondering if they could be used to feed vga signal to it and use it as a display... for something.

That datasheet shows a 50 pin connection with 24-bit parallel RGB interface.  The flex out of your particular module only has 26 pins, so that can't be it.  I think this is the datasheet you want: http://www.beyondinfinite.com/lcd/Library/Tianma/TM070UDH01-V1.4.pdf

Notice the TM070UDH01 datasheet has in its revision history "Modify the Module Name from TS070OAAAD01-00"... whereas you have apparently a TS070OAAAD02-00, and that leads us to

http://www.beyondinfinite.com/lcd/Library/Tianma/TM070UDH02-V1.4.pdf

I guess everyone who thinks that O is actually the number 0, is rightly confused. There's plenty of search results for TS0700AAAD02, mostly sellers, but using the letter O will give you the right results.
