[Phone Screen Repair] Correctly applying adhesive strips
« on: September 16, 2017, 03:43:42 pm »
Hey there, Engineerds and otherwise Professionals!  ;) :-+

I recently replaced the broken (shattered) display of my Cubot P11 smart phone.

It works fine now, but i applied the adhesive strips with method A (see attachment). Now my screen is not level with the bezel. I think this is caused by my flawed application of those adhesive (double sided sticky) strips. I think this method caused the display / screen assembly to squish some of the adhesive strip down to the horizontal plane, and effectively creating a stand-off, raising the display assembly above the bezel.

1) What do think of method B?
2) Do you think application method B would keep the replacement display level with the bezel?

[EDIT] I think i figured it out, i can't embed uploaded attachments (photos) into posts …as i could with [IMG]-tags and external sources …i'll have to cope with this inconvenience for now, i guess. …well, at least not without finally posting / publishing the post first, and then copying the attachment URL into an [IMG]-tag …as i did in this post
