53131A option -003 prescaler chip ID?
« on: June 21, 2017, 04:02:23 pm »
Rather than source a knock-off -003 prescaler board for my 53131A, I've decided to repair it if possible.
The counter becomes unstable @3GHz when a signal less than about -15dBm is measured. I've replaced all 4 amps with no change in the symptoms. The output of this prescaler is / 128. I can see that it's output is jittery, and I think (hope) it's the defective part, however, I can't ID the markings on the chip.

Anyone?

Could it be an MB510 2.7GHz TWO MODULUS PRESCALER made by Fujitsu?
Computers exist to solve problems that we wouldn't have without them. AI exists to answer questions, we wouldn't ask without it.
