The coil is trashed on an Oral B battery toothbrush I have. It's 0.2mm OD enameled wire.
It looks like there are two sets of coils. Two of the ends go to a common terminal. The other two ends each go to their own terminal on the PCB It's presumably a centre-tapped halfwave tapoff configuration. .
The common/ centre tap ends are both intact. One of the +ves I've managed to unwind a turn so can resolder to te PCB. The other +ve arises from an inner lay on the coil and I am unable to unwind a turn to resolder

Would anyone happen to know the number of turns on each coil?

Sure, I can count the number of turns as I unwind the old coils but there's bound to be a cludge or a snap and I'll end up having to cut the old windings out.

The Triumph has a much heftier and clumsy-repairer-proof coil but there's no charger.

Lost count.
Inner lay 3.4m
Outer lay 4.2m wound opposite direction.
10 minute rewind.

How would the coil even get damaged in the first place? This story makes no sense.

+1 for the "buy a new one" suggestion.

I think the coil got damaged, while they were trying to replace a faulty battery. (Speculation).
