Can anyone identify a "AN3102" sop/soic-8 chip?
« on: November 26, 2017, 02:41:19 am »
I am trying to repair a piece of Chinese electronics for my brother and there is a burned 8 legged SMD chip.

I can read "AN3102" on the top half of the chip. If there is anything else written on it; it is either burned off Or I'm not seeing it.

I assume "AN" refers to the manufacturer, though I haven't been able to find a manufacturer with those initials.

Nor have I been able to find a chip with that "3102" number even looks similar.

If anyone has any idea I would really appreciate you filling in this mystery for me. I'm pretty stressed out about this one, because it only burned up after I changed a toasted diode on it.

Thanks again.

Pictures please.

Most certainly does not help that "ANxxxx" is how other companies usually number their application notes...

I think is a custom part number.
Zoom out so that at least neighboring components can be seen.
What device are we looking at?
