CCFL TRANSFORMER
« on: October 04, 2018, 11:21:36 am »
Hello everyone! I am looking for a ccfl transformer for a flat computer screen. I made the photos as attachments. Is there an equivalence, because I did not find anything on the internet? Thanks for your help!

You could try TMS91429CT, https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=TMS91429CT&_sacat=0
As much as I googled, TMS93540CT has around 1.25k secondary winding resistance and TMS91429CT is very close in this regard. What is monitor model and PCB part number BTW?

the flat screen is a HYUNDAI W220D; the resistance on a secondary is 1280 ohms; the other is cut (infinite resistance) :D

Not much info about the monitor either. I think transformer which I suggested should work just fine. Not that you will loose much money even if it doesn't anyway.

You should be able to substitute something close and it will work fine. You might also be able to find the break in the primary or rewind it, usually the primary winding is not many turns.

He has one of the secondary windings failed. Never seen faulty primary winding.

That may be, but it's not what he said. A few posts up it says secondary 1.2k, primary open. 1.2k does sound rather high, but then these do use hair thin wire

It has 2 secondary windings, one of them if broken.

Hello everyone! I received the transformer TMS91429CT ordered on aliexpress ordered the previous month (long waiting time), the screen worked 15 minutes and it does not start anymore. After a redemontage, the transformer is defective to my surprise! A priming is created in the winding (without the neons ccfl), which does not start the screen. Resistances measured at the primary: 1.36kohms and more than 1megohms on the other !! Is it a fault related to the internal isolation of the transformer itself, or that the transformer is not original (because the original is not found?) ?? Thanks for your help! :palm:

Probably you just received a used transformer which was close to it's death.

use? it was new and no traces of welds on the legs. I think rather a design flaw in manufacturing ..... :-//

Most of transformers on ebay are salvaged from faulty monitors, not new.

Maybe you got one not configured for your monitor ??    you can use the same core for many models but the winding is different,   or you have other problems on the pcb ?

Samsung did used your pcb gip2204ma in one monitor model, but i cant see the numbers on it, its only a picture of someone changing the capacitors.
