Braun 3709 electric toothbrush noise

Hi,

I've installed a new battery on my 3709 Braun toothbrush, but I couldn't install the packaging properly and some water leaked into the electrics,
and now even that it's dried completely it makes a noise when it's turned off, some sort of ticking, just like a slightly high voltage discharge, and it repeats about 15 times a second.

I have a similar model and it also makes a ticking sound. Here it says it's normal (search for "ticking"):

On some toothbrush handles one might hear a low ticking sound coming from inside the body. The sound may be heard even if the body is not on the charging station. The sound comes from the working frequency of the voltage converter and can be heard only in a very silent place. This ticking sound doesn't indicate any malfunction of the brush. We recommend not to put the toothbrush on hard resonating surfaces (e.g. glass surface).
