Denon AVR-1912 E2/EA

There is an intermittent open cct. in the 40xWay ribbon cable CX4 see (page 129) in the Denon Service Manual - down-loadable from here:

The problem is in that acute bend at the HDMI_B'D connector. Is a repair possible - can the end be cut off and a new insertable end be created on a 40xWay ribbon cable??
