DMM can't detect voltage range above 6V!
« on: June 14, 2018, 12:49:00 am »
Hello,
I have a cheap DDM called RICHMETERS RM102 (here's a similar DMM reviewed on the EEVblog: youtu.be/xdGQEVdxmQQ ).
When I try to measure any voltage above 6V it can't detect the range and it will try to find it but it can't.
Here's a video for the problem: https://imgur.com/a/FSjZ7Gf

Open it up and take a close look at the PCB for damaged or badly soldered components, or evidence of components that have fallen off the board.

See if it works if you turn off AutoRanging. If so, it may be a software issue.

Hope this helps...
