DOD 231 Series II graphic EQ Low output.

A friend of mine asked if I could repair this for him. It is a two channel graphic equalizer. The problem with it is that there is very little output out of it. I was thinking that maybe one of the gain stages failed, but the thing is that this is happening on both channels and they are completely independent. The only thing that they share is an AC chord and the on/off switch and ground. Voltages seem fine for now. I was thinking that maybe, possibly someone has repaired one of these or something similar before? I guess that it's possible that two identical parts on both channels failed at the same time, but I think that it is highly unlikely. I guess that I am going to make sure that the chassis is grounded better and go from there.
