Fluke 187 switch contacts
« on: December 17, 2016, 07:53:17 am »
Anyone know where to get the little wiper contacts used in a Fluke 187 multimeter switch?  I had my meter open and knocked it off my bench.  After reassembly it was acting very odd.  Well, I opened it up and discovered I had lost a switch wiper contact.  I hope to find it but so far, no luck.  Any suggestions for locating replacements?  Is there any chance these are off the shelf items (probably not).

Ebay seller a-fluke might have some?

Alternatively, if you can't find it, ping Excavatoree via PM here and see if he has a dead/broken Fluke 187/189?

BTW, I have been busy with other things and haven't revisited the Fluke 27 U1 yet.

Score!  Ebay seller Fluke-USA had one.  Now I'm just waiting to get the part back to I can put the meter back together.

Thanks for the suggestion to check the ebay sellers!

Good job finding one.  Can you take a clear focused picture of the switch contacts for future reference and others.  Thanks.

It never hurts to have multiple photos for archive purposes.  Some people use external links/hosts for their photos and those, over time, disappear.

Also, your photos may show an angle that the others don't and that may help me or someone else in the future.  I too have a 187.  It is one of my favourite meters.

Here's a different angle then.

Success!  I'll post a few pictures of the contact when I get them off the phone.  In the mean time all is well!
