Fluke 73

Hello guys
I have a Fluke 73 multimeter. Its the first fluke 73, with no buzzer. Is there any way to add buzzer inside? It would be very nice to have this function. i saw that Fluke73 II has the buzzer function on diode test.

Yes, it might be possible.  A quick look at the original Fluke 70 series I and II user/service manual shows they use the same U1 processor so the functionality might be built in, but not enabled.

I suggest you download both service manuals and do a comparison.  The older service manuals are excellent since they have a theory of operation, bill of materials and schematics.  From the 3 sections, you should be able to see what is required to possibly add a beeper function.

You might have to add some extra components and/or circuitry onto the pcb somehow?

I have the same, I bought it used in 1993 and I still use it

What was sometimes annoying is the lack of manual range.

I bought a broken 75 for 5 bucks and I used its rotary knob in my 73.

You have to make a small and easy modification that I can not remember.

My 73 has now the manual range function...So far I know, the touch hold mode does not works in my 73.

After some clips on youtube on fluke 75 i saw that the piezo speaker has 2 points where comes
In contact eith the pcb. I took the piezo speaker from a cheap multimeter and soldered it to the 2 points on the pcb. Now i have the buzzer function on diode test. It even makes a small beep when I cycle between the functions
