Fluke LCD Screen Replacement
« on: February 10, 2016, 01:15:18 am »
Hi everyone,

I am looking for a replacement LCD screen for a Fluke 43B. This LCD screen is used in several of their instruments. I think it is a 240x240 pixel screen with a cold cathode back light. I know some places will repair these instruments with broken LCDs, but I am just looking for the LCD screen itself. The text on the PCB says:

C601002A and I think it is made by Seiko.

Thanks,

Have a talk to your local Fluke repair center, talk to one of the techs and email him the parts details and your fluke videos and channel. I'm sure they will have a dig for you and find a part for decent price or free if it's from a wreck.

Thank you all,

I found a place which sells these screens. I will make a video about it.

BTW, these screens are horrible.

Would be interesting to see the video . Well Fluke Scopemeters and DMMs are built like a tank , the input protection is one of the best in the business , the accuracy is really good and doesn t drift . In my company where I work we have some 170 Series Flukes for years. They are going tocalibration every year and are still spot on :-+ But the weak point of them are the displays . On the lifetime warranty they only give 5 years warranty for the display and 90 days for the accessoires ( cables , probes , chargers etc )  :-- . At that point Fluke is not really good . The accessoires are damn expensive and do not last for a long time   :-- .
In my company where I work we had issues with test leads from fluke . They  :-BROKE after 2 month many many times .My collegues really cared for the test leads and we didn t used them in a field , only at the test bay in our company to check our products ( measuring some voltages and continuity testing ) .

Any chance you'd share the source? I'm looking for a replacement case for one of my meters.

With respect to the above, Fluke manual states differently

http://assets.fluke.com/manuals/175_____umeng0200.pdf

"Each Fluke 20, 70, 80, 170 and 180 Series DMM will be free from defects in material and workmanship for its lifetime. As used herein, “lifetime” is defined as seven years after Fluke discontinues manufacturing the product, but the warranty period shall be at least ten years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover fuses, disposable batteries, damage from neglect, misuse, contamination, alteration, accident or abnormal conditions of operation or handling, including failures caused by use outside of the product’s specifications, or normal wear and tear of mechanical components. This warranty covers the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

For ten years from the date of purchase, this warranty also covers the LCD. Thereafter, for the lifetime of the DMM, Fluke will replace the LCD for a fee based on then current component acquisition costs. "
