Gigatronics 6062A inside picture wanted

hello today i got my new project in the Gigatronics 6062A  it startups, display lights-up with some values on the display so things looks good.. but when i open the unit my eye fell on the empty U26 chip and the dallas chip...

do i miss a chip here is my question.
maybe somebody with a Gigatronics 6062A can send a picture from this part from a working generator.

I would first test to see if the device is working.  Hook it up to an oscilloscope and program it to some frequency values less than the bandwidth of your oscilloscope.  If they are in line with what the generator says it is putting out, I wouldn't bother messing with anything inside.

hi thanks for pointing me to the manual i only had the gigatronics, now both, you are right. i was just curious it caught my eye.

4D-11 explains what U26 is for and that should make it clear why it is not installed.

Gigatronics 6062A + dalles Chip replacment

Hello just a question about the dallasChip (location U23) 

is it a good idea to replace this chip with a new DALLAS 1225AB.  because of aging?

Does anybody have ever replaced this chip inside a 6062A ?
