Hp 6632a error test 18

Hello everyone.  I have a hp 6632a that has a test error 18 message on the lcd once it is turned on. I have already tried simply clearing the error with no luck. Any suggestions on what i should do to fix this?

Download the service manual and follow the troubleshooting section in chapter 4:

The manual lists error 18 as:

  CV/CC zero too high.  CV or CC DAC probably defective (see Figure 4-11)

It doesn't sound promising, but you won't know for sure until you work through the troubleshooting flowchart in 4-11.

Thanks! I actually got it to work by using the bypass jumpers tp1 and tp2. Now i must figure out how to erase the previous programming that caused the problem  I actually just got this thing at a ham swap so its previous owner must have incorrectly programmed it!
