Thank you Tautech you gave me a relief now. Found that the seller would receive a tube back.

Tektronix
Rectangular Electrostatic CRT, for Tektronix 465B/468 and related portable scopes, but has P11 bright blue phoisphor! Filament tested good, removed from functional unit, LOOK VERY GOOD, minimal use, late date codes. See also -0777 CRT as a possible sub.

The 465M is -0777!!

Thank you  tggzzz it was very good. I never had before replaced any tek 465 or other tube of oscilloscopes, can anybody tell me what's that coil in the neck of the tube? It is a degausser or has more than one function?

It's called a deflection coil, It aims the beam.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Saul,

The coil rotates the beam via a recessed front panel control to align the beam with the graticle.

@bills: CRT oscilloscopes use electrostatic deflection, not magnetic.

Be very careful around the HV at one end of the tube and the very HV at the other :) Capacitor dielectric absorbtion (a.k.a. soakage) can bite.

The terminals are made of a very soft metal and are easily bent, so be very careful when removing and making connections/connectors.

Have you thought of reading the service manual for your scope? I would be very surprised if it didn't contain instructions. There are free service manuals available at http://bfy.tw/4RXt

There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

tggzzz>> Yes I have the service manual, but looks like it don't have instructions about tube replacement. Maybe using a manual to another scope like the 475 I can fix it.

tggzzz Are you experienced in replacement of this kind of tube? How do I remove and replace it? Can it be made by the frontal side?

I have never touched a 465M.

You remove and replace it carefully, according to the instructions in the two references I gave you. RTFM.

If it is like other scope CRTs, you will need to remove connections at the rear, and connections at three places on the sides.

Neither manual explains CRT removal and replacement.

The best that can be found is an exploded view, attached below.

@Saul: The set screws located in the front panel controls are likely to be 1/16 inch (0.062 inch) hex. Some may be 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) hex and possibly 0.050 inch hex. These set screws can be surprisingly tight. Attempting to use metric hex keys that do not fit tightly can result in damage to the set screw. Once a set screw is damaged it usually requires drilling. Drilling is difficult because the metal is hardened. This is one job where there can be no substitute for the correct tools. In the US we refer to these as "hex keys" and "allen wrenches." Hopefully these can be found in Brazil.

rf+tech.Thank you,I think definitely my scopes from now on, will be HP.
In terms of the mechanics tektronix are somewhat complicated (I think).
