thanks its fine working , i have problem with hp 16702 psu sparkling and clicking after swapped 2SK1531 (shortened) with IXTH15N50L2 mosfet ..it was good equivalent?
any suggestion apreciated about replacement ..cannot find 2sk1531

I'd look for another problem.  Possible crosses: NTE2970 and NTE2394.  Your cross should have worked, although its parameters aren't identical.
