IKEA Lamp

Hi All,
 So I have this awesome IKEA LED lamp and damed expensive, that used to work great. Well now the lamp will go dim and then every so often it will flash like a strobe. So I did what any good techy need would do, I took it a part. Its a cree LED with a flyback converter based on LNK364PN. http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/328/lnk362-364-3310.pdf The funny part is when I put a magnet on the transformer the lamp works great. Except every time it gets close to something metal well it grabs hold. Eeek! So that idea is kinda sucking. Any thoughts?
