install new HD in lecroy waverunner 62xi

i see adquiring new oscilloscope, one touch and great Sampling rate, in my locality sell this oscilloscope but i have dudes because the person not give me the hdd.

can i install new OS (for example win7 or other win) in new HDD and install x-stream?
Should I be freeze the HDD?
where find the software for new hdd??
i need any licence for install x-stream?

The HDD contains the calibration data, so if you don't have the original HDD then you also don't have the calibration data.

I have seen discussion about replacing missing or failed HDDs on LeCroy scopes of this era before.  The conclusion seemed to be that there are no recovery discs for them online, and LeCroy either couldn't or wouldn't provide them.  I have a similar LeCroy scope, and the first thing I did when I got it was clone the HDD.

Unless they'll include the HDD, or you find that you can definitely get some kind of install disc, I would not buy that scope.
