Lecroy LC574A battery replacement
« on: April 02, 2017, 10:54:21 am »
Hi;

Any information would be appreciated. Regarding the battery replacement, it is stated in the manual that;

"The serial number of the LC574A oscilloscope is loaded in the real time clock memory which is battery backed up. If it becomes necessary to replace the processor board, the serial number must be loaded in the memory of the new board by using LeCroy program" LeCalsoft" under GPIB remote control."

Hence, do I need to hook up a temporary battery before I dismantle the old battery so that the serial number is retained in the memory of the RTC?

Anyone have done it before with photos would be great.

Do you have a copy of LeCalsoft.exe to share.?

Thank you all.

Edit: I like the Lecroy HMI, somehow the screen presentation looks really pleasing and comfortable than Tektronix. My favourite amongst the scopes.
