Crest Ultrasonics Drain Valve
« on: January 23, 2017, 09:11:27 pm »
Low tech question here.

I picked up a Crest Ultrasonics 2600HT benchtop ultrasonic cleaner, and it's missing the valve on the back that keeps the tank from draining out.  Does anyone have any info on this valve?  I think it's a 5/8" threaded connection on the back, but can someone confirm?  Any suggestions on a replacement valve?

Thanks!

Dave

If you're unsuccessful then try this... on my US cleaner there is a latex drain tube and a clip to keep it above the level of the tank.

When you're ready to drain, just let the tube drop down into the drain.
Not easy, not hard, just need to be incentivised.

Do you have a real hardware store anywhere near by? Not like Home Depot but one of the little places that has actual hardware? That or a specialist plumbing supply place, you could take the cleaner there and probably find something that will work.

Ask Louis Rossman if he can order you one.
He has become a supplier of Crest ultrasonic cleansers

If the hole is about 16mm, roughly 5/8" then it could be a 3/8" 19 TPI BSP/T pipe thread - your local hardware should have a ball valve for $5 or $10.
