looking for modern equivillent for this axial condenser

it is from a 1939 electronic dice game. It should be shunting a solenoid that pays out coins.
I have tested the solenoid and its fine and game has been rewired so no shorts as was the case with the old cloth covered wires!

It's hard to see from the picture, but a 5 MFD condenser is the same in modern description as a 5 Microfarad (uF) capacitor.  I can't tell if under that in the image is a 25V rating, but you just need a similarly rated modern capacitor.  Given the use case, probably any electrolytic should do a reasonable job, and going with a more standard value like 4.7uF should be fine as well.

thats the best pic i could get.
it reads
MT400 W. V.25 and there is 6-8 v and 24V DC coming from power pack so i will try your recommendation, thank you!

I would suggest a 4.7uF film capacitor with a rating of at least 25VAC.

Something like this ought to work.
