Looking for old Rare Clevite Transistors for my PS
« on: November 08, 2017, 03:19:45 am »
Hey guys

I have an old "Power Designs Inc" power supply that finally kicked the bucket. I am attempting to re-cap it when I realized the two main transistors are BAD!

I am asking here because most websites I have seen only have one of the two that I am looking for!
I need

1x 2N257   transistor....TO-3 style
1x 1356   aka 2N1356....TO-3 style

I believe both of these were made by Clevite

If anyone has a lead on em, I will gladly pay for your troubles as well as some shipping!

If not...I guess this one is going into the dumpster!

Thanks Guys...JOE

You should be able to find a compatible if not identical replacement.

If you dumpster it... members of the Cult of the Worshipers of Power Designs will hunt you down and hurt you!   :box:   Power Designs supplies are holy relics filled with great mojo and are not to be blasphemed or trifled with.  You should say 1000 Hail Teslas and beg forgiveness for even thinking of doing that.
